One of my favorite things is a fun trip to the spa with either my girls or my mom. It’s relaxing and always ends with major gossiping, whether it be about friends, family, the girl down the street or (my favorite) celebrities. In this economy however, trips to the spa have been limited to very few or none at all for many people. Lately, I’ve just been too busy to hit the nail salon or the spa, so I’ve been pampering myself! I took a trip to the local grocery/drug store and got myself: an avocado mask, waxing strips, a foot pumice, foot scrub, nail file, nose strips, teeth whitening strips, hair dye, cucumbers, smoothie mix, etc., you get the idea. Now, I like to have “me” time, so I usually lay all this stuff out, pop in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and have some alone time. But you could also have girl time! Send text-vites, e-vites, or any other kind of “invite” you want to your closest gal-pals and have a girl’s day in. Make smoothies and pamper yourselves! This is a fun, frugal way of relaxing and allowing yourself the pampering you deserve!

Going to a spa and getting these services costs $340, whereas the DIY price is only $67! That’s a $273 savings! I’ve found that hanging out in my PJ’s with my girls is much more fun than going to the spa, and you don’t have to worry about eavesdroppers!
