Bangs are a simple way to change-up any hairstyle. They can completely change the way you look, and give you a strong boost of confidence. Before getting bangs you should talk to your hairdresser. S/he will know what bangs will go best with your face shape, and can also tell you what bangs you should get depending on how long you want to take to style them. Here are the most common types of bangs that many women have :

1. Blunt Bangs. These bangs are cut just below the eyebrow, and are cut straight across. They are generally very thick, but don't be afraid to ask your hairdresser to make them thinner. Famous stars that have been seen wearing the blunt bangs are Tyra Banks and Katie Holmes.

2. Side Swept Bangs. Side swept bangs are cut to the side and go from shorter to longer. They are worn with a side part, and are a simple yet classy way to make your hair look awesome. Nicole Richie and Hilary Duff have been seen sporting the side swept bang.

3. Wispy Bangs. These bangs can be considered barley there and consist of cutting a thin line of fringe to either cross the forehead completely or go to the side for a more angled side swept bang. Wispy bangs are a great bang to add a light touch to a long layered hairstyle. Reese Witherspoon looks awesome with her wispy bangs.

4. Parted Bangs. The parted bang is a simple way to play up your blunt bang. It is just splitting the blunt bang down the middle. Most of the time when people want their bangs to be parted they get them cut that way, but if you are unsure you want permanent parted bangs you can take regular blunt bangs and some hair gel and style parted bangs on your own. Rachel Bilson has been seen wearing subtle parted bangs.

Many women around the world are wearing some type of these four bangs. Bangs are great because they can be cut so that you will always love them. If you are a more simple girl, side swept bangs may be better for you because you can style them quickly and if in a hurry they can be pinned back with bobby pins. If you are more fashionable and girly, the blunt bang may be perfect for you because they are so in style right now. They take longer, but if you have the time go for it. No matter what, pick the bang that makes you look your best and feel your best!

Naturally straight hair will always be a beauty do. Nevertheless, you may be wondering: what can I do with it? It looks great down, but then it gets so old! Although you may not realize it now, you’re very lucky to have straight hair - but you aren’t alone if it drives you crazy.

Go Out with a Bang

Straight hair and bangs – especially side bangs – always look awesome. While this is a pretty bold move, especially if you have never had bangs, you won’t regret it. Talk with your hairstylist, and ask her/him what type of bangs will look best on you. Bangs will make your straight locks look like a completely new hairstyle

Get Banded

Headbands are the most simple yet fabulous way to fix up that boring straight hairstyle. They come in many different sizes, designs and colors and are especially great for that I-have-to-get-ready-quick style. You can wear them so they push back all of your hair, or you can wear them with a bit of hair left out (like those brand-new bangs!).

Straighten that Pony

Straight hair ponytails are great for casual activities, like mini-golfing or going to the movies and are super-helpful on hot summer days. Half up half down is a classic hairstyle, especially for lucky gals with straight hair. It is an easy style to do, and there are numerous versions of the style that can be pulled off. If you have bangs you can leave them down, put them in the ponytail, or give them a classy poof. If no bangs, you can leave a few pieces left out on the sides, or even curl the hair left down. Half up/half down will never fail you – it can be worn day or night!

Even though you may not know it now, you are so lucky to have straight hair. It can be a pain to style, but curly hair, thin hair, and thick hair are all the same way. Your straight locks are something that many people wish they could have, so embrace your luckiness! These five style tips should really help you figure out ways to get your straight hair to work for you. Also, don’t be afraid to change-up the way you part your hair. It can do wonders if you just want to wear your hair down.
