#JustinBieber Never Say Never Movie Review

These days, there are few people (or girls anyway), that haven’t been hit by “Bieber Fever.” I never thought I would be one of the girls to catch it, but this movie really helped me see what this teen pop sensation is all about. I have to admit, I saw him in a new light. Whether or not you’re a fan of his music, I think you’ll come out of the theater with a newfound respect for him. He’s taught himself how to play drums, guitar, and the piano. When it comes to music he knows what he’s doing. He has a vision, and he makes it happen.

This film is more of a documentary, than a movie. It goes behind the scenes of what it took to plan his last tour, and all the little things that sometimes get in the way of a big production. Justin goes back to his hometown of Stratford in Canada, and tells a little of where he grew up, some of his favorite places, and takes you on a tour of his grandparents home, where he spent most of his time. You really get to see where he came from to all that he has now. Justin lets you see how he struggles with being this household name that everyone knows. He tries to maintain a normal childhood, and stay grounded, despite the fame and recognition all around the world.

Bieber shows concert footage of him singing his top hits, including, “Baby”, “Somebody to Love”, and of course, the title of the movie, “Never Say Never.” The movie/concert has several cameos by other pop stars like Usher, Miley Cyrus, and Jaden Smith.

I thought the movie was great, because it showed a side of Justin that the public doesn’t necessarily get to see all the time. He was able to open up more, and show what he deals with on a normal basis. Being a musician at sixteen (or any age for that matter) is hard work and he’s handling it quite well.

I’d recommend this movie to anyone who’s a fan of ‘the Biebs’, any aspiring musician, or even someone who’s just looking for change in pace. I don’t think most of Bieber’s younger fans will truly appreciate the film the way he’s wanting it if they’re around the ages of five and six, just because it’s doesn’t move quite as fast for someone with a short attention span. I give it five stars.
