This week, “The Dark Knight Rises,” director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman installment, has released two familiar names as members of the official cast, MTV reports. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard have joined the cast in the company of Diego Klattenhoff, Juno Temple, Anne Hathaway and other “Inception” alum Tom Hardy. Gordon will be playing the role of John Blake, a Gotham city police officer, and Cotillard will assume the character of Miranda Tate, a member of Bruce Wayne’s board.
It’s no surprise that Nolan would choose actors he has previously worked with, like Christian Bale who he gave a starring role in The Prestige (2006) opposite Hugh Jackman.
Nolan spoke highly of the new additions, saying "When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again."
