My new favorite accessory is a bright colored purse to go with a neutral outfit. I was inspired by a very close friend who has a new bright blue bag that makes any outfit she wears, look summery! It's perfect! Not everyone is always in the mood to wear bright colored summer clothes (I know I'm not) but with a pink, green, blue, yellow or even orange bag, you can wear anything and look perfect for the season! Plus it's very simple yet fun! You take a purse with you everywhere, right? Well why not take one that brightens up your everyday activities?!

Walt Disney Pictures "Prom"
Posted by Sarah Alaina, feature, Movie 3:38 PM
In Hollywood, California the movie premiere of "Prom" was held at the El Capitan Theatre on Thursday night. It was a star-studded affair that hit the red carpet.
The movie "Prom" is about a group of teenagers that find their lives intersecting and their futures taking shape as they prepare for the most pivotal event of their high school careers. At first Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden) is infuriated at a classmate who nearly destroys her plans for prom. But the closer the big day gets, the more she realizes that he may be the perfect date. Meanwhile, secretive seniors Tyler (DeVaughn Nixon) and Mei (Yin Chang) wrestle with the consciences over how to make the most of their big night as the rest of their classmates attempt to reconcile their explosive anticipation with their growing uncertainty over how the dance will ultimately pan out.
"The movie will be a lighthearted story, complete with standard high school character archetypes of geeks, preps and jocks," said Joe Nussbaum, Director of Prom. "I wanted to capture the intensity of emotion that comes from one of the most memorable or notorious nights in adolescent life."
"Prom" will appear in theatres April 29th.

Karina Smirnoff Slips On Partner Ralph Macchio's Costume!
Posted by Sarah Alaina, feature, Reality TV, TV 3:32 PMProfessional dancer Karina Smirnoff took a spill that brought partner Ralph Macchio down with her. This incident was more a wardrobe malfunction than a dancing error, but Macchio quickly picked Smirnoff up to get her back on track and they regained their composure. Though this mishap occured, it brought more fire and attitude to Smirnoff's routine.
"Mr. Miyagi would be very proud of you for getting right back up and right into the dance," Carrie Ann Inaba said.
"I'm not gonna castigate you," Len Goodman told the pair. "I'm gonna congratulate you."
Ultimately, they rebounded enough to score 24 points, which kept them from being up for elimination, but it is up to their fans at home to continuously vote to keep them on the show.
Check them out Mondays at 8PM ET on ABC.

Spring is here! {Tips on how you can make the most of the new season}
Posted by Sarah feature, Shelby 3:28 PMI think Spring is a great time for setting new goals and just trying new things. It's a time for re-inventing yourself! Spring signifies that Winter is out, and that brighter times are ahead, and that's exactly what it should say about your life too.
Here are a few ideas to get out of old habits, and get out of that rut:
- See a movie you might not usually want to. You might be surprised!
- Do a little spring cleaning. Out with the old, in with the new!
- Add a few new items to your closet, or try out a few new looks from a favorite celebrity, or something you liked in a magazine.
- Talk to new people that you see at the work place or school, and tend to just bypass. Everyone has a story, and you never know when you could be missing out on a really great friend.
- Set new goals like :Work out a couple times a week, eat healthier, etc. And reward yourself with a little treat when you accomplish something!
- Throw a small party or get together, and just enjoy being with friends and family.
