Bachelor Pad Ep. 2 - Insiders and Outsiders

101
Now that all the introductions are out of the way the real Bachelor and Bachelorettes are starting to come out. Monday night's episode was all about the insiders and outsiders - the popular kids and the non-popular kids. The insiders include people like Elizabeth, Tenley and Kiptyn, while the outsiders are Peyton, Gwen, and Gia. Obviously Gia is a major surprise, but in her attempts to stay faithful to her boyfriend she decides the outsiders are her best choice. I guess we could say the outsiders are a "little" less physical with each other.

Face Full of Pie

This weeks challenge was a pie-eating contest. Classy. Before the contest had even had the chance to begin, Krisily bursted into tears about how she could/wouldn't participate because she doesn't have a gall bladder. To her, winning a pie-eating contest wasn't worth the time she may have to spend in the hospital that night. Apparently she can't eat any fat, or not a lot of it, so she thought she was making a wise-choice to sit out. Meanwhile Dave makes it clear to the camera that she should just suck it up and eat the pie anyway. He is so sensitive. Bowing out of the pie-eating contest put Krisily up for consideration of elimination.

Anyway, the girls started off the contest. Elizabeth stated it tasted like puke, Tenely sucked it down while puking in at the same time, but in the end Gia came through and won the rose. It was probably one of the grossiest things I have ever seen, but honestly, after her mess-up this episode, Gia needed the win. Clearly though, she couldn't have done it without Wes right next to her cheering her on (and giving her tips on how to win).
After the girls were done chowing down, it was time for the guys to go at it. Of course everyone thought that the biggest men would win - just because they have muscles. Until, the Weatherman came in and proved them all wrong. Jonathan was done his pie before some of the bigger, stronger guys had even cleaned half their pie plate. The girls cheered on the Weatherman, and he was able to score a victory and prove to Dave and Kovacs that they aren't all that they think they are. Nice going Weatherman, nice going.

Plotting & Dates

After the pie-eating contest Gia went ahead and tried to explain to the Weatherman the "outsiders" strategy. She then convinced him to bring some of the outsiders on his date to keep them safe. He listened and decided to invite Gwen, Peyton and Ashley.

The Weatherman's date consisted of a black speedo, three women, a whole lot of paint, and zero paint brushes. Hmm, sounds frisky. With any other group of people, that would have been one of the skankiest dates on the planet, but Jonathan and his three women were able to keep it classy. They had to paint with their bodies - absolutely anything they wanted and the Weatherman felt like it was time to prove he could rock a black speedo. Remember on Ali's season how he whined about getting into one? Well this time, I'm pretty sure he went out and got his own to wear. Ashley seemed to love his newfound confidence.

Once they were done painting with their bodies the Weatherman sat down with Peyton and Ashley one by one and explained the outsiders strategy. Peyton was all for it, but Ashley not so much. Don't ever strategized with someone who considers themselves friends with Elizabeth and Tenely. Ever. Ashley was clearly a no-go.
After meeting with them the Weatherman tried to get more romantic with Gwen. He ended up giving her the rose, and she accepted it very politely. She then proceeded to tell the rest of America that there nothing would ever happen between them. Poor Weatherman, will he ever find the right girl?

Ashley then pulled a Elizabeth, and decided that because she didn't get the rose she felt backstabbed, and now she was even LESS sure about joining the outsiders. Ashley you aren't fooling us, we all know you were gonna join them anyway.

When Jonathan got back to the house, Gia confronted him about bringing Ashley on his date at all because Gia knew that Ashley didn't like Jonathan and would never come over to their side. She thought he should have brought Krisily instead. She then explained that she and the other outsiders decided that Gia would take Craig M. on her date, and give him the rose. That way the insiders were forced to vote out one of their own. Nice plan, but Jonathan wasn't too happy about that. He wanted Craig M. gone because of past issues in Ali's season. Honestly though, Craig M. doesn't seem that bad at all this season.

It was now time for Gia to pick her three boys to take out. She immediately chose Craig M. and Wes then she said she really didn't care who the third guy was and so would pick his name out of a bowl. What everyone else didn't know was the Jessie B's name was on every single piece of paper in the hat. she wanted him to come along because she felt like he was in the middle of the insiders and outsiders. I was surprised by this because Jessie seemed so in love with Natalie, but then I remembered that Gia is number one to every guy at the house.

Once on the date Gia got down to business pretty quickly. She told Craig M. he was getting the rose, and smiled at Jessie B which caused him to go against Natalie, and she got Wes to confess his undying love for her by giving him a hand massage. "I'm crazy about you...you're smart, you're witty, you're quick...I wish the circumstances were different," Wes told Gia. "When I think about you, I'm like happy...I've had this infatuation...I love you." Drunk or not, the most hated man from Jillan's season, has really captured this [taken] girl's heart.

Gia then turned to the camera and stated that she didn't know if she should follow her heart by giving the rose to Wes or her head (and promise) by giving the rose to Craig M. I think it's pretty obvious, but in the end her taken heart took over and Wes got the rose. Gia then went on to state that she just messed up the whole plan (duh) but she had to do what was morally correct. Somehow I don't think emotionally cheating on your boyfriend, and cheating a teammate is morally correct at all. But in this model's head it all makes sense.

Backstabbing & Elimination

After her date, Gia tried to save her mistake by finding a new way to save the outsiders plan. The outsiders decided to all vote for Kiptyn's elimination, knowing the insiders would vote for Craig M., leading to a 5-5 tie, with Gia handing down the deciding vote, which she promised would be for Kiptyn.

Meanwhile, Jessie S. told David she wanted to play the game by spying on the outsiders but working with the insiders. He thought it was a good idea and they sealed it with a messy kiss. Krisily overhead everything and told Kiptyn that Jessie was "malicious" and not to be trusted. Jesse was also able to talk himself out of his relationship with Natalie by asking her if she's "made the rounds" with the rest of the guys in the house. When she told him the truth (of yes) he stated he would rather just be friends.

David then confronted Jessie about the rumor that she was playing both sides. She became extremely upset because he didn't trust her - but it was probably more of a mixture of too much alcohol and embarrassment that they found out her plan so quickly.

It was now time for the rose ceremony, or at least the voting. No one really knew what was going to happen, but Kiptyn knew he had one last chance to save his butt. He, David and Kovacs decided that Nikki was a good outsider to pull aside and talk to about the strategy. She cried and cried telling him that it was such a hard decision because they were friends and he made her feel like there would be no hard feelings if she stayed with the outsiders vote. She quickly flipped her vote for Craig M, which ultimately was the vote that sent him home. Nikki was then seen crying because she realized that she had just gone against her group, and she was about to get certified as untrustworthy. You should have just stuck with the plan Nikki, but instead you let Kiptyn's good-looks get in the way - oh shoot.

Joining Craig M. in the loser limos was Jessie S. She was sad about it, but said she found love in the house with David and hoped that it was for real and could continue on after the show. Yeah, okay.
