My Generation and Lone Star Already Canceled

Two weeks after premiere week, two new shows have already bit the dust. According to Ny Mag, ABC pulled My Generation after the pilot got low ratings and the second episode got even lower ratings.
My Generation also got a poor response from critics.
According to the Boston Globe, Lone Star didn't quite deserve it's fate, and may have prematurely died because of it's tough competition on Mondays (including Dancing with the Stars and Two and A Half Men). The article also said that perhaps the show would have been better suited for a cable network, or at least given a longer chance to develop.
Do you think these shows deserved to get canceled? What should of gotten cancelled instead?
